I was led to realize this project by the need to replace my old Sony radio alarm clock. It turned out that despite the large number of products of this kind on the market, their reproduction quality and control method did not meet my needs.

One of the basic disadvantages is the lack of automatic brightness adjustment. Multiple screens in close proximity are disruptive if they do not have approximately the same brightness level. Every home laboratory or workshop inevitably needs a power supply with adjustable voltage and current for prototyping, testing personal projects, or repairs. Of course, such devices are commonly available for purchase in stores selling electronic components and measuring instruments.
The presented design of a laboratory power supply differs somewhat from the common concepts of such devices.
